Ensuring contact of the electrolyte with the surface of each active material particle increases the ionic reaction. This will help to increase the battery capacity.

Conductive additive
If the electrode slurry is poorly mixed, the conductive additive will not disperse well enough. Conversely, if the mixing is too strong, the flow of electricity formed will be destroyed and good electron conduction cannot be obtained.

A: Even in humans, there are no reported adverse effects with oral administration of PVP

Q: What is the solvent for polyvinylpyrrolidone?

A: PVP is soluble in water and other polar solvents. For example, it is soluble in various alcohols, such as methanol and ethanol, as well as in more exotic solvents like the deep eutectic solvent formed by choline chloride and urea (Relin).

Q: Is polyvinylpyrrolidone flammable?

A: May burn but does not ignite readily. Fire/decomposition may produce irritating and/or toxic fumes, including Carbon oxides, Nitrogen oxides (NOx).

Q: What is the thermal degradation of polyvinylpyrrolidone?

A: The deg- radation process of PVP in nitrogen atmosphere shows only one main degradative curve. The polymer begins to lose weight at 280°C and continues up to 550°C with 96% weight loss. The residue at 600°C is about 3.4%.

Q: What is the flash point of polyvinylpyrrolidone?

A: The Autoignition Temperature of Polyvinylpyrrolidone is 240 °C.

Q: Is polyvinylpyrrolidone conductive?

A: The order of conductivity of pure polyvinyl pyrollodine (PVP) is found to be in the range from 10-9 to 10-7 S/cm at room temperature and it is not suitable for battery applications.

A: Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Light sensitive. Hygroscopic. Polyvinylpyrrolidone K 25 is a hygroscopic and amorphous polyvinylpyrrolidone polymer powder.
