2 Pyrrolidone is also known as pyrrolidone, azolone, butyrolactam. It is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C4H7NO. Colorless crystals, can be used as solvents and organic synthesis intermediates, used to make nylon-4 and vinyl pyrrolidone. 2-Pyrrolidone (2P) is a cyclic amide with a wide range of industrial applications. It is commonly used as a solvent in the production of polymers, resins, and other chemicals. It is also used as a starting material in the production of other chemicals such as polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and N-vinylpyrrolidone (NVP). In the pharmaceutical industry, 2P is used as a solubilizer, as an intermediate in the synthesis of various drugs, and as a polymer carrier for drug delivery systems. Physical properties:
It is a colorless crystal below 23℃, and exists as a clear and transparent liquid above 24.6℃, with good chemical stability and non-corrosiveness. Miscible with lower ketones, alcohols and chloroform.
