Appearance: White to milky white free-flowing powder, odorless or with a slight characteristic odor;

The Povidone K series products have application characteristics such as adhesion, film-forming, dispersion, and thickening, and are widely used in the field of pharmaceutical preparations. They are one of the three major new pharmaceutical excipients advocated internationally.

Functions	Main Application Characteristics in Preparations
Binder	A preferred binder for solid preparations, suitable for wet granulation, dry granulation, direct compression, and fluidized bed granulation. Especially suitable for immediate-release preparations, anhydrous preparation processes, and drugs with poor water solubility, water sensitivity, or poor compressibility. It effectively improves particle compressibility, enhances tablet adhesion and hardness, and promotes drug release.
Solubilizer	Increases the solubility of poorly soluble drug preparations and improves bioavailability.
Dispersant or Co-grinding Agent	Used as a solid dispersion carrier for solubilizing poorly soluble drugs, forming coprecipitates or co-ground solid dispersions with poorly soluble drugs.
Active Ingredient Stabilizer	Forms an amorphous dispersion complex with drugs to enhance drug stability.
Suspension Stabilizer	Improves the suspension stability of oral liquid preparations.
Coating Film-Forming Agent	An auxiliary film-forming agent, pore-forming agent, and pigment dispersant in coating materials. Reduces the viscosity of coating solutions, enhances the flexibility of the film and its binding ability to the tablet core surface, and improves the dispersibility and ductility of lakes and opacifiers.
Crystallization Inhibition and Thickening	Used as a viscosity regulator and drug solubilization stabilizer in liquid preparations. Prolongs drug action time and provides lubrication.
Pore-Forming Agent	Forms water-soluble pores in sustained-release and taste-masking solid preparations to regulate drug dissolution and release rates.
Others	Capsule glidant; stabilizer for enzymes and heat-sensitive drugs; moisturizing, thickening, and film-forming in topical preparations; various foods and health products.
